What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (or "zine" for short) is an anthology of art and/or writing, with a specific theme. Our zine's theme is horror, featuring the cast of Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Fates. Our zine will feature both reading and writing.

What is the age rating of the zine?
Due to the mature and potentially disturbing nature of horror-themed content, we would like contributors to be age 18 years and up. As for buyers, we will finalize the zine's age rating once we have our full lineup and can finalize the zine contents.

How many contributors do you plan on accepting?
We plan on accepting 20+ total artists (includes page artists, spot artists, and merch artists) and at least 4 writers.

Do you plan on taking guests?
Yes! We hope to invite page artists, writers, and merch artists!

Are you charity or for-profit?
Right now, we haven't decided! The results will be determined after the zine's interest check period has ended.

Are you planning on selling merch?
We are! Check back here after the interest check. Right now, we're still determining what merchandise we will be producing.

How will the contributors be compensated?
All contributors and mods are guaranteed at least a digital copy of the zine. We hope this zine will break even and allow us to provide physical copies of the zine to all contributors for free. If excess funds are available, we will upgrade this compensation to full merch bundles with free shipping. If the zine fails to break even, we will offer the physical zine and merch to contributors at production cost.

Why the name?
Les revenants is French for ghosts or phantoms. Literally, it means those who returned. This zine takes inspiration from the already-existing themes of possession and the undead found in both Awakening and Fates.

Lia (ladybergamot)

Roles: Project Lead; Layout; Shipping

About: Lia is excited to be the AwaFates Horror Zine Project Lead, which means she will be in charge of organizing the zine while overseeing its artistic and literary direction. Past experiences include formatting the "Serenity Vol. 1" booklet for the first Spoils of War Lootbox; formatting and organizing the "Sunrise With You" Wedding-themed Edeleth zine; and working as the co-lead, finance, shipping, merch, and formatting mod for the "Courage and the Sword" Corriander fanzine. In addition to zinework, she has professional experience as a writer and editor in the publishing world.

Roles: Writing

About: As the writing mod, Julie is excited to work with the literary contributors of the zine. She's been a fan of the FE series for 6 years, and Awakening was her very first Fire Emblem game. She organized one zine in the past, "Love's Encounter", a Persona zine, as well as serving as one of the two editors for the literary contributions of that zine.

About: As art mod, Lili will directly oversee artistic vision of the zine as well as provide guidance to contributors. Awakening was her introduction to the Fire Emblem series and has been a fan since. She has organized one zine in the past, "10 Years of Tears", a NieR Gestalt/Replicant zine.

About: Hi, I'm Cym, the finance mod! I'm still new to the FE fandom (I've still yet to finish any game besides FE3H OTL) but I'm excited to get more involved. I would willingly sell my soul for Leo and have since the moment I set eyes on the Fates cover art. My interest in horror has only developed recently, as I discovered the odd and unsettling side of it.

About: Hallo, hallo! My name's Bean, I'm an illustration major at an art college, and I'll be Les Revenant's Merch Mod! Ever since Awakening fell into my hands in 2015, its great story and writing, gorgeous soundtrack, and lovable characters has easily won over my heart and earned the title of my favorite game of all time. I'm not too well versed in the world or horror, but I absolutely love comics/games that deal with psychological horror because of how it engages me. My favorite webtoon at the moment is Ghost Teller - I highly recommend it!
